Are Little Lion Natural Dog Treats like jerky?

Little Lion Natural Dog Treats are a more flavorful, crunchy and safe alternative to conventional jerky. We do 2 steps to prepare our treats: slow-cooking with an industrial dehydrator and finishing with a traditional oven. Our process requires human attention to ensure high quality and crunchiness. Jerky is usually very tough and gristly. Our snacks are more flavorful, brittle and crunchy. The delightful crunch is what drives most dogs crazy.

How much Little Lion Natural Dog Treats can I give my dog?

Treats are used for showing love and as a reward for good behavior. They must not be used as a replacement for daily meals. Treats should not make up more than 10% of your dog’s daily diet. You may use this guide to determine how much snacks to give your dog daily:

* • 5 kg and under: up to 15 grams daily

* • 6 kg to 12kg: up to 25 grams daily 

* • 13 kg to 24 kg:  up to 50 grams daily 

* • 25 kg to 34 kg : up to 75 grams daily 

* • Over 35 kg :  up to 100 grams daily 

How long can I store Little Lion Natural Dog Treats?

All our treats are made from natural ingredients and contain no preservatives. Treats must be stored properly to extend shelf life.  Our treats are best stored in a cool, dry place for up to 90 days.  Fatty treats oxidize faster and are shelf stable for about 60 days. To extend freshness, we recommend keeping all treats in an air-tight container in the chiller. You may freeze for longer shelf life. Keep treats away from sunlight and high moisture environments. 

Can Little Lion Natural Dog Treats be used for dog training ?

They are the perfect treat for training dogs and puppies! Our treats are brittle, so they can be easily broken into smaller pieces suitable for dogs of any size. This makes them safe for puppies. You can carry a few pieces on your daily walk and reward your dog for good behavior.
